Broadband In Rooms

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I'm looking at spending about 3 months On samui- i'm thining Lamai beach and doing some freelance work on the side with my laptop- My only requirements are an LAN connection with Broadband internet. (Not wifi)

Can anyone lead me in the right direction- ideally i'd like to rent a room that has broadband internet inside so i can work freely.

Another option may be- to rent a 'desk'. Are there serviced offices on Samui. The room is probably the better option.

Can anyone recommend a room with an LAN broadband connection on Phangan or samui. I'm looking at $8000BHT-$15,000BHT per month.

Thx

wifi will do the job quite good , don't think that people sharing the connection with you(if any) will be using the network key to decrypt your packets.

there's no place that i know that would offer LAN connection to the room, it's simply useless as people don't come here to do lan parties :o

Maybe the OP does not have wifi on his laptop. :o

it's possible but if interested i got wifi cards to sell if interested.

You may have a private telephone line installed at Aumpai Luxury Resort in Lamai for private LAN access. For a "desk" the IT-Complex (www.isamui.com) in Lamai might be able to provide one - they are supposed to have the fastest lines out of Samui.

Supposed - i have been there a few times and the line was not very good,

Try the new resort opposite weekender resort, about 15K a month and they have some very fast internet access

Tx
