Now this is special, I am always on the lookout for wine that goes with spicy food, this is a corker!

This old-vine superstar from the acclaimed Aresti family is made from rare but opulently aromatic Gewurztraminer, which thrives in Chile's Curico Valley. It's thanks to Chile that Alsace's most exotic grape variety is regaining the limelight - even though it's so scarce it only accounts for 0.2% of Chile's plantings.

Exceptionally aromatic and crisp, this textbook Gewurz is made along very organic lines as Aresti's vineyards are blessed with Eden-like conditions. The old-vine fruit is harvested at night and fermented at low temperature to keep all its enticing character.

Spicy, crisp and fragrant with aromas of lychees, limes and rose blossom. Refreshing and captivating flavours of ripe apricot, lychee, citrus and a hint of spice. A fantastic aperitif - delicious with Thai, Asian and Japanese cuisine too.

Gewurztraminer is a great grape for spicy food. Or try it's close cousin the 'Traminer' grape.

Talking like that is akin to foreplay :o

Now this is special - one glass is just never enough...

Jean-Marie Raimbault 'Fleurs de Sancerre' Rosé 2007

As in all classic regions, just a handful of families own the best vineyards. Famed for growing the purest, most concentrated fruit, they are finite and shrewdly accrued over the centuries.

Sonia and Jean-Marie Raimbault's winemaking pedigree stretches back 300 years. Their plots are coveted family heirlooms producing one of Sancerre's most stunning rosés - supported by accolades from around the world.

Little surprise the grape behind Burgundy's silky reds, Pinot Noir, also makes the world's finest rosé. What's more, the family's Pinot vines starred in 2007 - the purity and complexity of flavours sets this bottle apart, even among its peers.

Domaine Raimbault 'Fleur de Sancerre' has all of the hallmark finesse, seductive flavour and fresh minerality of the world's finest pink - with a delectable strawberry fruit-character that's all its own!

For a cheaper, but smashing fruit filled little number , try Monkey Bay Rose from Kiwi land. One of the best at a reasonable price.

Kiwi wines are excellent - have never had a bad one. They are trying a different approach to Oz, smaller quantities but more TLC. And it's working!
