Swede Found Dead in Condo

It is sad to report that the body of Mr. Thomas Malmstrom was discovered in his room in the Lek Apartment on Soi Diana Inn on the night of the 5th September.

The 64 year old Swede was found lying on his bed by his friend Miss Chaichan who has been taking care of the sick man for over 2 years. His condition had deteriorated in the last few days and sadly he died that night.

His body was taken away for an autopsy to find the cause of death and the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok has been notified.

What...old people don't die in Samui? Or is it you just get the young and healthy surfer type dudes there

Indeed.....any story makes it to the news! I wonder how many Thais die at this age everyday!

Never read about it though...but not really interested in it anyway.

It is the level of reporting that happens that gives that impression. The reporters have to justify their salary, and practice their English, pity no-one gives them feedback on their language abilities.
