Anyone know which mobile operator does cheap abroad SMS? I've tried some of the websites for free SMS but can't find any that do UK to Thai for free neither any ideas? MaiChai
Its cheaper to call Thailand using Tele Discount at 4p per minute (or Thai mobiles at 10p per minute)! Much nicer to talk
muay_thai
Yeah I can get cheap calls from 2.2p + national call & 6.7p mobile, from the url on my footer. But I really think a text is like receiving a letter nowadays, it's just nice to put it into words. So any help ???
sirusman
Which card do you use to get calls to a Thaimobile at 10 baht min??
muay_thai
Go to the web site on my footer, then type in Uk to thailand (assumoing your Uk) The mobile one I'm using at the moment is "Planet Talk" and has an alien in a ufo on it, but it's not too good so I always also have a Telco Asia (tiger) card at +2.2p land +8p mobile (i think) the £50 card is the best and it is reliable. I'm changing my card when I get the next one for mobiles I'll tell you how i get on, ther is one at 6.8p / minute. Just make sure you get one without a connection charge as sometimes it will charge you and you don't get through! The prices above are on top of your landline number, to get round this I just get a T-mobile, £14 / mth after 6pm for 750 mins inclusive. Best of luck, "it's good to talk" an all that! Expat2B
You might want to consider switching network to O2. I use O2 and can use my inclusive texts for free to LOS (which I do) and pay 12p for additional ones.
MaiChai
Telediscount for 4p/10p per minute. Line quality much better than the calling cards. Onetel stills has the best line quality at 28p per min, but Telediscount is fine. Telediscount calls appear on your phone bill, so no need to register, etc. http://www.telediscount.co.uk.
