I re-visited a few discos on my last visit to Pattaya.....

Tony's - I actually had a good time last visit and seems the aggressive vendor hassles have gone away.

Lucifers - I quite liked the place, but can they pack anymore people in this place? Too bloody crowded to really enjoy yourself, but music/singers are really worth a look.

Xcyte - still tops in my eyes. I think its still hands down the best disco venue in Pattaya.

Agreed, Xcyte is the best by far. :o

Agreed. You have good taste in incredibly ear-spliting music venues!

The song and dance arrangements are pretty good for way, way off Las Vegas... :D

I just wish my Thai was better so I could follow the comedians! :o

I've had some A1 nights at Lucifers and YES, check out the band cause they're ace.

How do I find Xcyte from Walking Street?

Also, anyone have any reports on 'Star Dice'? :o

Tell the pooying to tell the driver and set a price. They all know where it's at.

Xzyte is at Third Road and Soi Chiyapoon (sort of an extension of Soi Diana Inn?) so there is no direct route. Near the Buffalo Bar on Third Road if you have been there?

They will all love you for it! :o:D

Lucifers was raided a few weeks back and the crowd stampeded out the door, obviously the local cops were not impressed so they threw the book at them, one of the charges was incorrect building materials so the front of Lucifers is now open air, not really a club atmosphere anymore.

As for Tonys, overpriced and only for tourists that don't know any better, that guy must be in love with himself pasting posters of himself from here to Bangkok airport ( photo must be at least 5 years old by now)

Anyone know what the 'new' Boom is like these days as i don't get out much

Lucifers is Thai owned so the book was thrown back at the men in brown. I don't think they were even shutdown 24hrs.

Tony's I didnt care for it much because of the hassles with the vendors..not sure if it was just a one off, but the night me and my missus went we weren't bothered at all. It was quite an enjoyable evening apart from the steep drink prices, but you'll get that any disco you go to!

Half thai owned, half farang owned and they were in deep siht, but you are correct it was the thai owner (who i believe owns hollywood as well) who got it re-opened, massive fine.

I don't know what it's like there now, but when I was stationed there back in 1973 in the USAF at Udonthani, we spent our 5-day R&R in BKK...It was a single man's dream, which I was then, hehe....

Pooying about 10 to 1 GI....My 21st birthday was there as well so that made it all the better...After my 12 month tour of duty there I almost cancelled my flight back to the world, and discharged from the service in The Land of Smiles.....

The wife and I went back to BKK & Udorn, & Nong Khai in 96..I see that Patpong hasn't changed any. Reminds me of Bourbon St here in New Orleans..Party town!

Sawadee Khrap!

Could not agree more. Pleasant place nice decor etc.

Air con is set at 7/11 mode, so refreshing after the beer bars. The seats though are designed like the dodgems at a fairground. So any loose change you had in your pockets might end up in Dave's or the cleaners hands. :o
