Hi,

I am a expert in steel manufature in US, been all over the world, owned firm, consulted in Thailand before but business now in US is slow due to high operation times of US mills. I have worked in Thailand before. I have phD in engineering and should easily qualify for expert status.

Does anyone know what the first step would be to secure expert visa. Probably I will need some government sponser (probably for a gratutity ijvolved), Any intermediaries available.

Thanks

Believe you would have to be invited "To conduct scientific research or training or teaching in a research institute" to obtain. Also believe this would be a visa you obtain after your services are required rather than by your request. You should contact the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate for official word.

I doubt every word you say.

Mr. Irishmist, I consulted worked in Laem Chambang and Rayong for 2 years before and during cash crisis during construcion of German and American Steel mills there.

Why don't you take your flamming and shove it, <deleted>. Helpful forums don't need druken born losers idiots like pitiful self. I think others in forum would agree.

This is a chicken and egg thing. To get an EX visa you will require a letter of offer from a competent employer. It isn't a thing where you get the visa then try to find an appropriate employer.
