The Tourist Police based on Walking Street are always on the lookout for drug dealers who will often target tourists in the South Pattaya area and will attempt to sell them narcotics. In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, one such suspected drug dealer was apprehended in front of Soi Pattayaland 2 on Pattaya Beach. The suspect, Khun Pairat aged 42 was caught in possession of 0.5g of the class 5 drug Marijuana and a quantity of a white powder and some tablets which were found to be harmless. He was also carrying further packets of what appeared to be Marijuana but this was also found to be only Tobacco. The man was later transferred to Pattaya Police Station and charged with class 5 drugs offences.

Probably because he was selling tobacco for marijuana. Read:He set up own business without purchasing from the Organization.
