Extending 60 Day Double Entry Visa!

Recommended Posts

I have a double entry 60 day tourist visa and am nearing the end of the first 60 days. I don't want to have to do a visa run 2 days before Christmas and am wondering if I can extend it here in Samui for 30 days and do a visa run then.

Is this possible or can I only extend the LAST 60 days?

HELP!

thanks very much!

Also, does anyone know what kind of visa I can get once my husband gets his work permit sorted out? do i have to leave thailand to get it?

You should have no trouble extending it for 30 days. Just have photos, 1,900 baht and go to immigration office. You can also do it with your second entry if husband still not up to speed.

Immigration might do a change of visa class for you after husband gets his together so it is worth asking. If not you will have to make a run to Penang or some other Consulate to obtain a non immigrant visa on the basis of your husband.
