December 23, 200817 yr <H2 class=padding-bottom-7 style="FONT-SIZE: 1.05em; LINE-HEIGHT: 1.05em">A MILKMAN delivered cannabis to pensioners on his rounds to help ease their aches and pains, a court heard yesterday. </H2>Robert Holding, 72, kept the drug in an egg box for his daily calls. He had 17 customers and built up his trade through “word of mouth”. Holding was warned that he was likely to face jail when he appeared in court yesterday. He admitted supplying cannabis resin between April 1 and July 18 this year. The milkman, of Burnley, Lancs, also admitted possessing the Class C drug on July 17. Bizarre He said in a police statement that the cannabis “was for elderly people who had aches and pains”, Burnley Crown Court heard. Philip Holden, defending, said it was a “somewhat bizarre case”. The lawyer said Holding’s customers were “of a certain age”. The case was adjourned for a presentence report. Straggly-haired Holding was released on bail and will be sentenced at the crown court on February 6. December 28, 200817 yr I don't see what's bizarre about it. The pensioners of today were the 60s generation who hoovered up recreationals like they were going out of fashion. Why change the habits of a lifetime.
