Anyone who know if Avis, Budget etc, have rental location at Udon Thani Airport and eventually how long time it approximately take to drive to Nong Khai.

Would also be grateful for hotel recommendations in Nong Khai, preferably near the river.

I know that avis has cars for rent at Udon airport and you can book online its about an hours drive to Nong Khai from the airport just exit the airport turn left to the main road right turn and straight shot to NK follow the signs

Real nice guest house/hotel on the River near the Indo market. Khiang Khong Guest House. Very nice Thai family owners. Good rooms, air con or fan, cable TV, hot water. 3rd floor public balcony overlooking the River....great view. Place stays busy so recommend making a reservation. Fan room 300 Baht.
