Featured Replies

Dear All

Good Day!

Im planning my visit to Macau (transit from Bangkok), i bought a tickets from Istanbul to Bangkok (Bkk) - Turkish Airlines and from Bangkok to Macau (Air Asia airlines) same day after 3.5 hours after arrival to BKK.

After my visit to Macau im planning to stay 3 days in Thailand.

I arranged a Thailand Tourist Visa which valid from 24th November till 24th February.

But the main problem is this:

I will arrive in BKK with Turkish Airlines and than i need to check-in on Air Asia flight, for do that i need to take my lagguage and go to immigration, it will be my enter to Thailand, i will put my bags and after 30 mins i will go back and leave a country.

Will my tourist visa valid when i return from Macau and want to stay in Thailand 3 Days?

Does the Tourist Visa is multientry or not?

Im a Azerbaijan sitizen and i cant to arrange a visa on arrival.

i hope for your support!

If you cannot be handled as a transit passenger you will have to do the following.

What you need to do is get a re-entry permit before you leave Thailand. Be sure you have a passport size photo with you, After you check in for your flight you will enter the area just before you go through the immigration checkpoint. Go to your left and you will see a counter for re-entry permits. You will have to pay 1000 baht for the permit. So be sure you change enough money to pay it.

The re-entry permit will allow you to re-enter Thaiand for the length of the permit to stay stamp (30 or 60 days) you get when you go through arrival immigration.

If you don't do this you will not be able to return to Thailand without getting another visa.

You can fill it out ahead of time and show it to somebody if you have any problem finding the counter.

Dear ubonjoe

Thank you for your reply!

Yes i will try to go as transit passanger, but as i red in travel forum it is a problem with Air Asia airlines.

do all countries citizens can get re-entry permit?

Do i need to get re-entry permit after check-in in Macao flight?

With Air Asia you will have to go through Immigration and check in at the Air Asia desk.

As Joe said after you check in with Air Asia go to the office near Passport Control before you show your passport and get a RE Entry Permit. 1,000 Baht. Do not forget the passport size photo.

Here is the form to download.

After you check in for your Macao flight, you would go to the immigration counters to be stamped out, so you get your re-entry permit before you get stamped out.

The re-entry permit will cost you 1000 baht.

Edit: as litebeer already suggested, no way to go in transit with Air Asia, you will have to enter the country, get your bags and checkin for your flight to Macau, unfortunately.

Yes all countries can get a re-entry permit if they have entered the country on a visa.

You have to check in for your flight to Macao because the re-entry permit counter is in an area where you have to show your boarding pass to enter. It is an area behind glass partitions.
