How Long To Wait To Get The Re New Passport?

I have question as my passport is expired, I would like to know if i re-new the new one at the US embassy. How long it will take me? a day or weeks???

They are not issued here. They have to be issued in the states now.

Just curious TeacherMO: if you're in Thailand, you must have a visa (visa-exempt entry requires a passport with at least 6 months validity remaining). I'm guessing the visa would have not have been valid past the expiry date of your passport. So are you technically on an overstay? Or are you juggling multiple passports?

Well spotted Kamnan. You are correct. They will only give an extention of stay etc, if you've only 6 months or more on your passport. Then the extention will only be issued for the length left on your passport. The remainder will be put in your new passport as and when your old one expires.
