Proof Of Income

Featured Replies

If you are a foreign national who spent more than half his life in the US, educated there, worked there, paid taxes and has stock market account there, will the US Embassy Bangkok can they provide you with a "proof of income" letter?

The country of my birth have no record of my finances, I never worked there, and havent lived there since childhood.

Thanks

Soppuse you will have to ask them. But some embassies issue letters of income in a country other then their own or Thailand if you can give them proof of that income and they can understand it (language, etc). Ask your own embassy first.

Yes. All you need is your US passport, fill in the embassy provided form, and take an oath (swear) to the truthfulness of the information provided. No actual proof required. If you don't have a US passport then they most likely will not.

Small point: OP is not a US-national.

Agreed, but some Immigration Offices may want to see some proof as they know that the US. Embassy does not.

Note, I only said "some" and "may". Always a good idea to take just in case.

That is why I specifically said to take your US passport, in case there was a misunderstanding as to the OPs nationality.

You should get the “embassy letter” always from the country of which you are a citizen, regardless of where in the world your income is earned.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

The proof of income statement is a sworn document provided by the US Embassy for US Citizen. Case closed.

Nice answer.

But did you read the question?

I think the OP said that he was a foreign national and not a US Citizen. I do not think he can enter the US Citizen services section of the US Embassy, so case closed.

US passport holders only. The key issue here is that you have to present your passport to have this done. I don't know any way around this.

The US is hardly going to certify income for a non-US citizen.

Slightly daft question in my opinion.

OP was asking about getting his income from the US certified by the US-Embassy. Maestro give the correct answer to this:

As Op has its answers and there are no other questions to be answered I close this topic.
