Truck Heater Installation

Featured Replies

I want, and need, a heater and fan for my front dash. What gives in not having that a standard install anyhow? Next thing I know I will be paying to get mirrors! :o

Anyhow, we have a 2005 Toyota Vigo that does not come with either a dash fan or a heater. I believe the Toyota Fortuner does, however.

Does anyone know if one can be installed from a Fortuner?

Where would be a good place to get such a thing done?

Thank you kindly.

The Fortuner doen't have a heater..

The fan you can buy in almost any car accesory shop.

Thanks for that info on the Fortuner. This fan you talk of, is it a factory-type install with a control wired into the standard Toyota controls, or is it something else?

Thank you.

I think the OP means that Vigo's don't have windscreen vents for demisting, it really should come with this option, I didn't find out until I brought mine, never noticed it didn't come without this vent, I took it for granted that it would be fitted as standard.

Samui Dave,

I believe Expat Motors does or used to export grey market Toyotas to the UK and retrofit them with heaters.

Should be simple to reverse the process.
