My Film On Phuket To Be Shown Around The World

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently visited Phuket and had a wonderful time. While I was there I produced a 'positive news feature story' on superyachts.

The story can be seen here and I'm hoping it may lead to some work in Phuket when I return in a few months time to live.

I would like to work as a cameraman / editor / producer in Thailand and would like to know how to go about this

and if I can do this by obtaining a work permit or do I have to start a company.

I will be trying to work for other production companies as well as my own.

Any advice would be appreactated and if anyone knows how to contact the TAT in Phuket that would be appreciated too as I wanted to tell them when to watch the story.

Regards,

gusman

As far as I know (not very far) both starting a company and getting work permits is extremely hard work, It's not something that is done overnight (weeks/months) and a huge amount of capital needs to be in place. My advice would be to start doing some serious research if you are planning on coming back in only a couple of months. 'Siam Legal' seem to know their stuff, http://www.siam-legal.com/Business-in-Thai...work-permit.php Lots of T.V members run businesses and work legally on Phuket so hopefully you will get some good advice soon. Enjoyed watching the film, good luck in the future.
