She died at home with her family in Upshire, Essex, in the early hours of Sunday after a high-profile battle with cervical cancer. Her mother Jackiey Budden, who was at her side as she died, said: "My beautiful daughter is at peace." contunie here http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7925719.stm Very sad RIP Jade ...
March 23, 200916 yr This is really sad. She was a real character. I remember watching agast at some bigbrother clips. But, always felt she showed her real herself, good and bad. Sometimes i cringed, sometimes i laughed. She was too too young to die.
March 24, 200916 yr All agreed. Far too young to die, and certainly was " herself", no matter what cost to those around her. I believe the take up on free testing for cervical cancer has surged since her public display of the horror involved in that awful end, so some good has been achieved. However, I just feel that the use of Jane as some form of an icon for the UK to be nothing short of obscene The heroine for girls engaging in under age sex, drugs and foul language OK, but surely Gordon Brown's crocodile tears would have been better shed for a more worthy cause ? Sadness for the loss of any young life totally understandable, but as the father of a seventeen year old daughter, I expect the leadership of mine or any other country to laud the achievements of medicine, social responsibility, hard work and the like. The "gimmie the money" culture, coupled with foul mouthed racism, didn't realy figure that high on my list, how about yours ? The dumbing down of Britain will be his lasting legacy....................
