April 1, 200916 yr There are three or more MRI machines in KK. Two private hospitals on Mitrapop Highway and I believe there is one at KKU too, possibly more. Khon Kaen Ram is OK but it is certainly not first class. If I was goiung to get a MRI and it was not an emergency and I had time to pick, without a doubt I would have it done in Udon at the Army Hospital. They are by far the best, the cleanest, the most informaitive, the most profesional, and more. You can jump a bus to Udon, rent a car, or whatever, decent hotel rooms are only 350 Baht per night so its not a big deal as far as traveling and paying extra. Im sure you can get a good deal in KK but for me its worth the drive to deal with them, plus I have mates in Udon so its a bonus trip.
April 2, 200916 yr I recently had an MRI at Chiangmai Ram Hospital and yes they are reasonably easy to find in most large cities in Thailand. As are CT Scanners Not so here in Australia, they are extremely rare and even if you need one, a normal doctor has to refer you on to a specialist doctor to be referred. I recently boasted on the ease of getting the MRI in Thailand to my own GP here. He was amazed and stated that in many medical ways, Australia is like a 3rd world country in this respect. Cost of the MRI in Chiangmai was just over 7000 Baht, results were immediate.

I have used them on 2 occasions and the service and professionlism was very good indeed. The price for having your neck scanned is 8,000 THB Please go to the web site to get additional information ........ http://www.mrithailand.com/e_contact.html Look in the right hand column at the Khonkaen PC Imaging Center Co., Ltd site for your relevant area you mention. I hope this helps you. When you know the dates ( if ) you will be in K.K. you can email them any questions you may have and also arrange an appointment before hand. NOTE:- I recommend an early morning apt. and tell them you are on a tight schedule and need to keep the allotted time you arrange to facilitate other meetings ect. If you do not, they tend to see others first and could keep you waiting for long periods of time ( Thai times ) Recommended for anyone who wishes to get an insight into what MRI benefits are available along with informative details of the various treatments. Thank you
