I got my white plate for the bike the other day. Been running around with a little red advert on a piece of red plastic up until now. For some reason BMW Phuket don't issue proper red plates. Anyways, in order to fit the new one I have to remove some rear reflectors and it looks just too big and out of place. If I get someone to make up a little white plastic plate, similar in layout to the proper one - would it be legal?

No because if you check your plate it should have a stamp in the bottom right hand side. Singha what bike do you have? that a number plate does not fit?

It's a BMW F800ST. The plate did fit after removing the rear reflector mounting, but it just looked out of place after such a small red plate for so long. After keeping my eyes out for a couple of days, I noticed a lot of Thais running around with bikes with little square cut-down versions. Managed to find a guy in the village to cut it down/frame it and add some bolts. Just need to make up a little mounting bracket and I'll be done. Looks good.

Hope to see some of you at the Phuket bike week.
