Well Done Burnley.

The Blades were dire in the first half, not taking anything away from Burnley as they were the better team in the first half.

Cracking goal from Elliot wasn,t it ?

The ref was a tosser as you,ld expect I would say,,it was two penalties ,,both times the player played the man ,not the ball.

So I look forward to "listening" to The Blades beat Newcastle away again.

Nothing more to say, other than if Sheffield had wiped the Sh*t out of their eyes in the first half , it may have been different.

But they didn,t and it wasn,t.

WELL DONE BURNLEY....I,LL BE CHEERING FOR YOU NEXT SEASON !!

To be fair mate, I reckon that they'll get a standing ovation at Upton Park as well.

This topic 'twas a little premature. I think Burnley are highly likely to go straight back down, but they're fun to watch. We'll see...

I'm not so sure about that.

They have already beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Fulham in the cups this season ..(well last season now).....with a few more signings that they are gonna have to make as they are a small club they could be next years Stoke

They won promotion in grand style went into the play-offs as least favourites and won them without conceding a goal and scoring three brilliant ones...plus a penalty...which was also well taken :)

That's a bit premature. Two of the ones likely to go down, or at the very least struggle, are the others who were embroiled in this years relegation struggle I'd imagine. That is, Hull and Sunderland. As for Burnley , they're an unknown factor. Just as Hull were for the first half of last season. There's no reason why they shouldn't also accumulate enough points before they get sussed out and the going gets tough later. Or any other permutation of events that could keep them from being relegated in their first season.

GREAT Result for BURNLEY and i hope they have a stay up season next year.Fair play to the chairman who has stated that he will give yes give a season ticket for next season to those faithful BURNLEY season ticket holders from this season.

Sorry for the Blades you must be joking

Stoke and Hull spring to mind and i admit i thought at the start of last season they would be relegated.

just too exhausted to make any smart arse comments, how can the last 10 mins feel like 10 hours, sorry blades. guess claret and blue are not your favourite colours :D:D:):D

:) Great result for Burnley, and great to see Founder members of the league back in the top division. Blackwell has to take some responsibility for the mess, and his pre match comments about the ref were out of order. I had a degree of sympathy for Sheff Utd, but there constant being a "victim" stance really left a sour taste. Well done to Burnley, the Premier League will be a better place with them in there.

Have been for the last 2 years! I enjoyed that even more than Millwall's defeat.

The Millwall game hardly registered with me at all. I was mildly pleased when they beat Leeds though. I didn't think that this one would would bother me much either. But I must admit to grinning from ear to ear when Sheffield United got their comeuppance. Not leaping in the air as when Iniesta score against Chelsea (I've never celebrated a goal like that outside of West Ham.) But very happy nevertheless.

This comes from a supporter of a club without a ground,,,,,now that is really something to laugh about :)

And the one they use now and again.

Is in Sheffield :D:D:D

We don't use it now and again, its our home ground for the next 4 years. I agree its a disgrace that we are playing in Sheffield, but its better than going out of business and not having a team at all. We know we are poor which is why i never started a topic titled Rotherham United we are back.......... Seems a bit stupid to me until I know for sure what is happening, saying that the people from sheffield have never been known for their brains. oh I forgot your not from there and you don't really know what the Rotherham/Sheffield rivalry is about. :D:)
