I just came back from the parole office I have to report to for the crime I committed.
I just did mine on-line for Jomtien. Submitted it yesterday, Sunday, and got the email with the new slip to download today. That's fast. Super easy--when it works. Traveling out of the country in December so I am keeping fingers crossed that the next one I submit on-line will go thru--although posters have indicated you have to go in person after going abroad. We'll see--maybe that will be fixed by then. -

You are correct, it is not a teaching in the Quran but it only exists now among Muslim communities because Islam is the only main religion that does not allow outside marriage or relationships. Therefore, it is not a cultural action but an act caused directly by the edicts of Islam. Many religions and communities practised honour killings centuries ago but it seems only the Muslim communities are perpetuating it in the 21st century.
