In Shrekness And In Health

Featured Replies

A WACKY couple got married dressed as Shrek and Princess Fiona — to become Mr and Mrs Green.

Christine England, 40, and Keith Green, 44, spent three hours being covered in body paint.

They exchanged vows as the ogre and his bride in front of 100 guests — who also dressed as the films’ characters, including Donkey and the Gingerbread Man. Hospice nurse Christine said: “Every girl wants a fairytale wedding — I got one with a bit of a twist.

“Keith looks just like Shrek. It was funny when we said our vows. He had green ears sprouting out of the top of his head.”

The couple, from Barnstaple, Devon, got a make-up artist to help their transformation, which included a red wig for Christine.

Christine, who has a son Daniel, 18, said: “I tried to convince him to dress up as the Donkey, but he wasn’t having any of it.”

Builder Keith said: “It was strange but really enjoyable. We love the films.”

“I tried to convince him to dress up as the Donkey, but he wasn’t having any of it.”

Ungrateful brat.

Ah, fair play to them. I hope they are very happy. It's these types of 'nutters' that make Blighty the place it is! :o

A lovely tale with a happy ending. :o

On a side note, For our 10th wedding anniversary my then wife and I spent a few days in a replica of a stateroom from the Titanic. We didn't make it to our 11th anniversary.

Beware of fantasies which may become true.
