NAKED German hikers will have to cover-up after the Swiss became CHEESED off.

A law banning birthday suit rambling was recommended after locals objected to seeing nud_e walkers, mostly Germans, descend on their town.

Few disagreed when citizens of Appenzell Inner Rhodes voted to impose a ฃ120 fine on violators.

"The reactions of the population have shown that such appearances over a large area are perceived as thoroughly disturbing and irritating," a spokesman for the government said.

The region has been regarded as a favourite location amongst nud_e hikers.

A similar law is expected to be passed in nearby Appenzell Outer Rhodes in a move to rid the area of "this shameless behaviour".
