Suvarnabhumi Duty Free Shop - Fraudulent Arrests

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine warned me to be careful when shopping at DFS at Suvarnabhumi Airport that fraudulant arrests are being made due to duty free shop employees put some extra stuff in your purchased stuff, then the police arrests and they share such money with each other for their own needs or greed, but you may suffer humiliation, arrests and money losses. I shop at DFS at airports all the time without any problem - should I be worried? Any validity to this rumour?

There was a report a while ago of where a businessman mistakenly put something from the counter in his bag, thinking it was a free gift. He was arrested, missed his flight and had to pay a lot. There was no mention of the staff placing it in his bag however.
