Its Time to End the War
But it appears that you no longer want us as your client. If that's the case, don't meddle in affairs that are no longer your concern. Then those of us in Europe have nothing to worry about. That's a relief. Why would the EU want to exert authoritarian power over Ukraine? Given that you appear to be washing your hands of Europe, why embroil yourselves in Europe's domestic problems? Any idea when that might happen? I don't know enough about either region to comment. Maybe a Pole, German, Lithuanian, Ukrainian or Russian has a view. -

Using Fixed Deposit For Retirement Extension
Already mentioned in the thread. The io is a dill. FD account or savings account makes zero difference to financial compliance. Every expat using a dedicated FD or savings account for immigration purposes would also have another bank account. Obviously savings. IMO threads about FD v savings really belongs in banking finance forum. So many similar threads about nothing really. -

I'm considering taking Metformin for off label reasons
According to this, Metformin can have serious side effects that require a 9-11 emergency call. Although not clear how rare that is. "Metformin has a boxed warning — also called a black box warning — about this risk. A boxed warning is the most severe warning the FDA issues." Also, lowers B-12, so may need to supplement with B-12. https://www.healthline.com/health/diabetes/metformin-side-effects#serious-side-effects Berberine may be a safer alternative to Metformin (it's plant based and metformin is a synthetic drug). It's been used in Chinese Traditional medicine and has become popular in the West in recent years. It appears to do similar things to Metformin, but has additional benefits such as reduce inflammation and supports cardiovascular health. https://www.naturecan.nz/blogs/news/is-berberine-a-natural-alternative-to-metformin- 2
