110 people admitted to Hospital with Food Poisoning as checks are made on restaurant in Naklua.

On Friday Morning 60 government workers from Chang Mai were rushed to Banglamung Hospital after contracting suspected food poisoning. Medical staff were overwhelmed as moments later another 50 people who were staying at a Hotel in Jomtien were admitted with similar symptoms including acute diarrhea and sickness. It was determined that both groups ate at the same restaurant on Thursday Night which is located in Naklua. Later on Friday teams from the Public Health Department were dispatched to the restaurant and conducted checks on the food, the results of which will be known on Saturday. It was noticed by one journalist that one of the chemicals they were using was past its “Best Before” date, however the team assured us that the chemical could be used up to 6 months after the expiry date. The Restaurant, which had previously been awarded a “Good Food Clean Taste” award, is now under investigation by the team and samples of feces from the victims are also being analyzed.

Sounds like a popular restaurant to have so many large groups going there. Wonder if it is Mum Aroy?

Would be nice to know exactly which restaurant it is so that it can be avoided until this problem is sorted out.

Would be good to know. Mum Aroi was my first thought as well although I considered it as one of the best.
