Does anyone know of a Thai - English - Thai dictionary that can be downloaded from the net?  Ideally one that can translate both ways and as far as the Thai words, in both texts.

Don't know of a downloadable dictionary Trev, but can heartily recommend the Domnern Sathienpong Thai-English dictionary CDROM (Amarin publishing).  Search in English and Thai script with excellent quality speech samples.

I picked up a copy for 300฿ here in Thailand.

That suggestion sounds good... where in Bangkok can I get a copy?

Good question Trev - I had trouble finding one in Bangkok and got mine from Surawong Book Centre in ChianMai.

You could try contacting Amarin:

NB:  If your using XP make sure you get the supported verision, else you'll need to get a patch.

Or the rather good dictionary here, or if you get stuck, ask someone here to translate for you.

right Mighty Mouse ...

the best so far :o

I use this one too, and my wife said, "it's ok, looks better that what I can do" :D

a good thai-english online one ...

but if you plan to translate english into thai, you better check it by some thai friends, for a final touch, and correct some little missinterpretations ...
