Liked Magic Roundabout too Patsy.

Liked Jamie and his magic torch also. Used to wonder about how cool it would be if i could shine a torch on my floor and have it open up into a secret world.

favorite television programs?...I was mistreated as a child and hadta watch what my parents watched; how would yew like it if it was 'Sing Along with Mitch' or nuthin'? :) ...I'll bet that some of youse even got to have yer own TV set in yer bedroom (buncha spoiled grumble, grumble,...)

us kids only got to control the box on weekend mornings and afternoons...maybe that's why as a youngster I developed a preference for old movies which weren't so old at the time...sometimes there was a nice Cagney shoot-'em-up and they always had 'Treasure of the Sierra Madre' on at least once a month...

the little sister was always about wantin' to watch cartoons but me bein' older I just gave her the boot... :D

One Man and his Sax

Gilligan's Island ("Sorry Skipper"), Hogan's Heroes ("I zzeee notin"), Get Smart ("Would you believe...") are also classics.

Yes, and the Beverly Hillbillies the Flintstones, Bewiched...

Isn't it strange how we are all showing out age.. with TV shows. We must have been propped up in front of the TV more than we like to think!!

Not quite a kid anymore... I LOVED the Rockford Files, Streets of San Francisco and Columbo!

Me too. Thanks for the memories. :)

I must add though, as a kid in Ireland we only had one channel, so whatever was on, was on. No choice until I was in my late teens.

Times have changed!

Remember this fella?

That's Crowboy !!! :)

How is he ?

Toss up with Benny Hill, Jack Benny and Gracie Allen and Goerge Burns.

No telly until I was 16 in my life.

Just fixing spell error.

Home-grown stuff: Dr Who (William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton)

Noggin the Nog

It's a Square World

Blue Peter (Had a bit of a boyish crush on our Val)

Ready, Steady, Go ( Had a slightly less boyish crush on Cathy McGowan. Where are you now?)

American stuff: Boots and Saddles

Casey Jones

Range Rider ( thought his tassled buckskin jacket was cool beyond words. Dick West always struck me as a bit of

a nerd though)

Whirleybirds

Oh, and used to love the French "Robinson Crusoe" Can still remember the music.

But then "The Prisoner" burst onto our screens when I was ten and I "put away childish things". Suddenly I wanted a dark blazer with white piping and, crucially, a Lotus 7. KAR 120C

I always wondered if the writers of "The Magic Roundabout" were using something recreational but, in the case of "The Prisoner", I think the question is not "if" but "what".

As a kid? Whiplash, Rawhide, Ivanhoe, Robin hood, Tenderfoot, High Chapperal....My first Latino love :):D :D

I'm still a kid. :D

Regards.

We used to watch 'A Country Practise' on GWN (Golden West Network) when I was kid.

But we stopped after Molly died.
