Sat Nav System

Featured Replies

Hi. Can anbody tell me if there is a dealer in Chiangrai that sells Sat Nav Systems for cars in English.

You could try Chiang Rai Technicom in Ruang Nakorn Road, behind Overbrook Hospital. Khun Prachuap there speaks good English.

If you do find a dealer, I can recommend the Garmin Nuvi, which comes with both Thai and English downloadable CD's. I use it in my Toyota Fortuner, and to be honest it's more easy to use than the built in system that I have in my other car, a Honda Accord. It also has the benefits of bluetooth connectivity, and so you have a 'hands free' system for your mobile whilst driving.

Sorry not the right answer to your question, but if you take a look at GT Rider there's been considerable discussion on GPS systems for cars & bikes, that might be a help.

In Chiang Mai, not Chiang Rai sorry again, the guys at Eagle GPS are very helpful & farang operated, so no communication problems. You should find their website quite useful. Check it out.

Thanks Guys for your help. I am at present in Aussie and they seem to be expensive so I will wait when I return in Aug and check out the places you have told me.
