on 2 seperate occasions now i have collected all necessary paperwork for the visa application ...unfortunately last time due to the tsunami the embassy was closed...begining to get a little bit peeved about constantly trying to give "last 3 months of paperwork" seems i spend more time trying to keep it up to date than anything else.is it last 3 months at time of application,or at time of interview? going back in march for interview..they gave her date for interview approx. 3 weeks ago, yesterday she received letter from embassy confirming this and asking for her to bring all relavent paperwork.they have requested proof from my mortgage company to prove that i am buying my home and also because i am self employed 2years attested tax returns!! as if bank statements and financial documents werent enough...thing is i dont seem to have come accross any of this being requested in my research..is this normal or have things changed recently??

a very hopeful scmokinn

p.s. wish me and the fiance luck for the 30th of march :o

Hi Schmokinn,

Yes, it is normal for the embassy to request 2 years' attested tax return/accounts for those sponsors who are self-employed. Also the requirement to show that you are buying/own/rent your property.

The necessity to submit tax returns can be a bit of a bugger as, if you're anything like my mate, these show an income of only £10,000 p.a. when the true figure is probably 5 times that amount.

Cheers,

Scouse.
