Most of the shops I have seen in Bangok are standing still (stationary)

Seriously, what you are looking for is more likley to be found not in a stationery store but in a leather goods department of a decent department store.

I suggest that you try Central Department Store in Chitlom which has its own Skytrain entrance for convenience. The Information desk ladies will point you to the correct floor.

Thanks. And now I know how to spell stationery too!

CMT - "e" for "envelope". (an envelope being stationery...)

That was taught to me 40 years ago and I have not forgotten. Please write out "e for envelope" 100 times and I am sure that you will never forget :D

However, I suggest that you now start a new topic because everyone will see this one and think "Oh, that idiot CMT can't spell stationery" :)

I found the stationary section of Siam Paragon excellent, paper, pens, paint, etc..in the department store area, cant remember what floor, but I was looking for art supplies and was pleasantly surprised by the extent of the range of stuff available...Dukkha :)

Let me ask a related question. I thought their were some Office Depots (or is it Staples?) here in Bangkok, but when I went to the one at Silom it was simply gone.

Yes, it was a very convenient store in Silom Complex, but the main one, further down on Silom Road, (from Silom Complex, on the same side) is the closest in the vacinity. It's below ground from the street, and I can't recall the building name...(C P Tower?)

Emporium has a large stationery store with some upscale leather binders and about a million different pens. Not sure about Parker refills though.

Across the street is an Office Depot or Office Max stationery store that might have what you are after if Emporium doesn't have it.
