Tot - King Com Adsl Usb Modem

Featured Replies

I was visiting a friend in Pattaya yesterday for the first time and was alarmed to see the Internet connection he was using.

A few years ago he signed up with TOT, and pays about 700 baht a month for a service. He was under the impression that it was a regular broadband connection but on closer inspection I found that he had a half mb dial-up connection using a King Com ADSL USB Modem - Conexant AccessRunner USB ADSL WAN Adapter, installed by TOT for him.

All this means that the poor sod is only able to check out his email on a daily basis & liittle else all.

I was planning on taking himdown to TOT, with the King Com ADSL USB Modem & asking them to provide a proper modem/router, which should at least get him to 1mb. What are the chances of TOT doing this for me & are they likely to want more money, either up front or each month.

Thanks!

this is already an adsl modem as you said "King Com ADSL USB Modem he has adsl already at 512kpbs propably.

so take him to sign a new contract with tot for one year and he'll get the 4meg if his line has a quality good enough.

take the old modem and change it for an ethernet model.
