Bali Hai To Host Cowboy Carnival 2009

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TOT), in conjunction with Pattaya City Hall and

Bali Hai to host Cowboy Carnival 2009

private enterprises, are to host the Cowboy Carnival 2009 at Bali Hai Pier on Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd August.

It is hoped that this event will help boost the flagging tourist industry in the city, by attracting extra visitors not only from Thailand but also further afield. The organisers have focused on creating an exhilarating, fun filled event, with great entertainment for all ages.

The whole of the Bali Hai Pier will be decorated in a Western Theme to get local residents and visitors into a cowboy mood. The event will try to highlight the unique way the cowboys in the old west went about their daily lives and some of the colourful individuals that became folk heroes.

International musicians will join home grown talent to entertain the crowds with some well known country music favourites, and a good selection of ‘Cowboy Tucker’ will be on hand to sample, served by waitresses and waiters in traditional cowboy costumes.

One of the highlights of the two day event is sure to be the cowboy carnival games and authentic rodeo event.

Let’s hope the Cowboy Carnival will bring in some new faces to the City and bring some much needed laughter back into our streets.
