Swedish Man Dies From Suspected Heart Attack In Pattaya Apartment

Featured Replies

Pattaya, August 6[PDN]: A 53-year-old Swedish man was found dead in his Pattaya apartment on the afternoon of the 5th August 2009. The man had complained that he felt unwell before his death and police assume he died of natural causes.

Pattaya investigator Police Lieutenant Colonel Prateep Tongdee was notified at 3:30 pm. that a male tourist had died in room number 105, on the first floor of an apartment with no name, located on a small Soi off of Pattaya 3rd road near the Xzyte Disco.

When police arrived on the scene they found the body of Mr. Leif Freddie Traff [53], a Swedish national, lying on the bed. He was wearing black shorts and no shirt. Police presumed he had been dead for approximately 30 minutes. There was no sign of foul play and no evidence of fighting or that anyone had disturbed the room.

Miss Nid Puthorm [30], a bar lady, said Mr. Traff had taken her to stay in the room for more than one week and he promised to pay her for her services on the 11th August as he was preparing to go back home. On the day the incident occurred, he told her that he felt bad and could not breathe properly but he refused to go to the hospital.

As his condition deteriorated she decided to call the rescue team to take him to hospital but unfortunately, when they arrived, Mr. Traff had already passed away.

Police initially assumed that Mr. Traff suffered from heart disease and died suddenly. However the body would be sent to the forensic institution to identify the cause of death. The Swedish embassy would be informed accordingly.

It says she called the rescue team when his condition started to deteriorate, yet when they got there he had been dead for 30 minutes .... they must have walked!

Why would they think he suffered from heart disease was there medication in the apartment???

If the coroner says this wasnt the cause of death will the tart be brought in ...... i doubt it!
