Featured Replies

Pattaya, August 12 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : In the early hours of Wednesday Morning, Pattaya Fire Rescue Units received an urgent call to attend a fire at the Zahrat Alkhaleg Restaurant, located close to the VC Hotel in South Pattaya. The establishment is open 24 hours and serves Middle Eastern Food. Units arrived and realized that the fire had engulfed gas canisters at the rear of the restaurant. Medical Units were also sent to the location to assist two people who were working inside the kitchen at the time of the fire and sustained burn injuries. Both men originating from Nepal were rushed to Banglamung Hospital. One was released some time later and the other man remains hospitalized at this time. Damage, estimated at around 200,000 Baht, was sustained to the kitchen area and also included two motorbikes which were destroyed by the flames. We spoke with other kitchen workers who explained that preceding the fire, a strong smell of gas was noticeable. The owner of the restaurant Mr. Mustafa Khaleeg from Dubai was at the scene to survey the damage and expects the restaurant to re-open in the next few days.
