Watch Out British People.....

Featured Replies

Mossy is already aware, but thought I'd make an announcement here as well.

I will be headed to the UK at the beginning of next month and will stay a month. I was hoping we could arrange some kind of TV get together while I am there. Scouser is already on board whether its up north or in mossy's home county.

I plan on travelling a fair bit, so we can make it several stops or just one big one. Boo probably won't be able to make one outside of London, silly woman feels responsibility for her job and her kid! :D

So, if anyone is interested in meeting up for a drink (or four, knowing most British people :D ) or joining a UK TV meetup let me know. :)

well, sheee-it...I'll probably walk past you at the airport. I'll be in Brighton visiting my son and will be leaving 01 Sept.

anyway, I'd want you for myself...I ain't about to share you with any others be they TVers or not :) ...

I'd be interested either in a tv get meet-up or depending on your plans, just meeting up. My only drawback is I am very busy for the whole of sept, so let me know your plans when they are firmed up.

If anybody wishes to have a meet in Oxford during S' time in the dreaming spires I am happy to organise a walking tour and a gentle day in cultural mayhem, happily I know most of the bars as well :)

:D Ooh, thats too bad, no, I arrive early am on the 2nd, otherwise we could even meet in the airport! I'll be back in Thailand at the beginning of October, what about you Tutsi?

Suegha, my plans are not firm, not even sure when I will be up north. I am not big on overplanning my holidays, so if you have a date that's best for you, let me know :D

No, but I do have some dear friends working in Saudi. They just can't convince me to come visit for some reason :)

Could visit Kayo in Cambridge - most civilised place in the UK

But I think you've missed the strawberry Fair, and the Folk Festival.

i am in ... just let me know the location

I believe there will be many locations Boats, does my memory serve, you are in Aylesbury? Near to Oxford.

What about the 11th of September in Oxford? Its a Friday. Is that bad for anyone? Or we could do the next weekend, the 18th. I have friends in the area and will be staying with them. thought I could come up a day early, spend a few days and then head further north.

My goal is the Yorkshire dales, home of my paternal great great grandfather. My maiden name is quite unusual and, apparently, native to north Yorkshire so I am off to find a few people with my last name :) (mainly since I've only ever met one person with my last name in my life)

There is nothing common about our SBK

I suggest she simply bypass all the Yorkshire bit and come to the best parts to come out of Britain, namely Australia

Either day is OK for me.

But you'll be able to show her the route from Bradford to the Yorkshire Dales

And anyway, Brahmabadruddin is not an unusual name in Yorkshire - four of 'em in our street.

19th is good and the 18th is OK

Looks like I have frightened everybody else off from Oxford, I am really not as bad as my Forum Persona guys :)

19th is fine. Perhaps we need to start a new thread :D

Maybe its not you they are frightened of meeting. Must be the fat, wrinkly, old feminazi bitch :)

NZ would suit better.

SBK would not qualify for transportation.

(Pops up again......LOL)

You only call me a lush because you can't hack the pace. :)

I'll be at Wastelands in Feb for the City v. L'pool game. Hopefully see you there.

Otherwise, the missus, son-and-heir, and I are up for a pint or two in Oxford on the 19th.

I'll admit that you can indeed drink me under the table. But I bet that goes for many others on here who have had the "pleasure" of having a session or two with you :D

Let me know when your off to Thailand next and we'll try and meet up. :D

Are there any reasonably priced digs in Oxford?

Are there any reasonably priced digs in Oxford?

I have opened a new thread endure.

I am not sure what is considered reasonable any more, Oxford is over priced in every aspect, but if you want to come, I will be very pleased to meet up.

I will also arrange everything depending on what particular digs you prefer, under the bridge, B&B Travel Lodge, or Hotel.
