Must Do Sights & Places To Visit

Featured Replies

The family & I will be back in Thailand for 6-9 months at the end of the year & plan to spend a lot of time traveling around.

So I need ideas of where to go & what to see. What are your suggestions of must do sights & places to visit. Recommended tours & trips please.

Cheers

Boo :)

Western Gulf Coast is a favourite of mine. It just seems so much more chilled than the Eastern Gulf or Andaman.

Hua Hin and Cha-am have nice hotels and beaches,

or go further south and stay in some of the quiet little bunglows near Chumphon.

apart from the usual beaches and mountains (think krabi, huahin, chiangmai, chiangrai - with side trip into Laos), I really enjoy Na'n. a lovely place. you should check it out :)

near bangkok I like day trips to places such as:

Koh Kred

Samut Songkhram

Ayutthaya

even phetburi is not bad..but maybe combined with a trip to HuaHin

Hi Boo,

You really should start here.... :D

Thailand as I see it

Please use the Tree View (Top - Right Hand Side) to see all of my Subdirectory, over 70 odd in all. :D

From Bangers and Mash up and down this great country.

Also post in the other forums like Phuket, Central, Chaing Mai etc.. and ask the locals that are there :)

There's your start.

Happy days.

Yours as ever,

Kan Win :D

Thank you Kan Win. Great link to your site there & will hopefully be heading over to Kan at some point. Would be excellent if a friendly local expat wanted to meet my family for sightseeing & a couple of glasses of the good stuff one day. If you knew of some such expat? :D:)
