can anybody help?

i've just got a new laptop and want to transfer the contents of my address book  (wab files) from my old w98 computer to my new (winxp home) computer.

thanks for any help or advice.

Have you tried Google? Amazing what it comes back with; its just a case of being creative with the wording for your search.

Depending on your machine, you can copy the wab into the appropriate documents and settings folder in the Notebook, or do an import. Also you can do it with your mail if you want to:

Copy the wab file onto your desktop of your notebook (network or floppy transfer)

In Outlook Express Click - File

Import & Export

Import an Address Book

Select the program (probably Outlook Express 4)

Browse to the desktop and select the wab file

Then

Off you go.

It doesn't always work but phuque, it's Mirosoft...what do you expect
