August 31, 200916 yr any one else on the flight, what a cluster f,,,k at the air port no one to answer any questions come back tomorrow with out any info about tomorrow or anything, even to find a thai that could understand english was hard....And i blame united for this for hiring people that cant even speak english or know what was going on
August 31, 200916 yr United in my opinion is one of the worst when it comes to cancelled flights. Been there, done that.
August 31, 200916 yr United Airlines Bangkok Office This'll help you. I would urge you not to use the word <deleted> when dealing with Thais. Even when used in an indirect fashion, it will elicit a massive negative reaction. This may have been your problem at the airport. Really, don't use it.

Plane broken? Flight UA 7054 seems to be from Rapid City, South Dakota to Denver: 7:47 AM RAP – 9:25 AM DEN Operated by UNITED EXPRESS/ MESA AIRLINES United 7054 I flew UA in July back to SEA, beer was $6! I had OJ. Returning exSFO earlier this month, beer free again. Guess they had enough complaints, or found they were's saving much $$$. Mac
August 31, 200916 yr UA has canceled all flights to/from NRT (30/31 Aug) owing to Typhoon Krovanh, hence UA 890 BKK-NRT today (31/8) was canceled. Since flights to NRT from the USA were canceled yesterday (30/8) there would be no aircraft available to take you NRT-USA and you'd be stuck in NRT. Maybe better to be stuck here? UA tends to be more cautious for several reasons. FWIW, UA have the aircraft here at BKK as it arrived last night as UA 891 NRT-BKK, so expect some chaos the next few days as they work to get everyone out. I find the UA staff here to be top-shelf, much better than TG, SQ and LH, IME and I'm surprised you weren't able to get a satisfactory explanation. It looks like the NW flight departed BKK, albeit ~ 4 hours late. Perhaps the Typhoon will not be as strong later in the day?
September 5, 200916 yr "Flight UA 7054 seems to be from Rapid City, South Dakota to Denver" No wonder the guy is so upset.

The few delayed flights saw passengers contacted via email, sms or phone by Thai reservations staff.
