Hello,

My wife and our employee with our baby (7 months) need to go Buriram and come back, where i can book a flight for them ?

Thanks.

I think the nearest Airport will be 'UBP or Ubon Ratchathani' it still will take 1.5-2.0 hours to drive and get there.

The bus service will probably be better if traveling with an infant

My wife and i make this trip frequently with our little one. If you are in BKK now, any legit travel agency can set you up, or you can buy direct at PBair's ticket counter at Suvarnabhumi airport (domestic part of terminal) Check the flight schedule online as they do not fly everyday to Buriram.

When I flew with PBair on this route tickets were only available through travel agents.

You appear to be looking for 2 adult tickets and 1 infant ticket. If I was in your situation, I would seriously consider hiring a car with driver. It is probably cheaper, provides door to door service, and has no luggage restrictions (within reason). Given check-in time, travel time to and from airports, delays collecting luggage etc, the overall time difference may not be great.

Charge from Pattaya to 40 km north of Buriram is 4000 Bt one way, door to door --- takes 6 hours with stops included, and you can choose the departure time. You can also ask for the driver to stop, as you require.

I don't know the charge from Hua Hin, but would not expect it to be dramatically different.

Hi JohanBKK,

I fly PBAir regularly between BKK and Buriram, in fact I am flying to Buriram again 25/09.

I usually buy my ticket on line at www.pbair.com, although there is a PBAir ticketing office in the Domestic side of the Suvarnabumi departure terminal. This however is usually only open office hours.

There are currently only 3 flights per week....Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It leaves Suvarnabumi at 1100hrs and takes about an hour To Buriram. After offloading & reloading it turns around back to Bangkok.

The adult fare is currently 2615 baht inclusive. They are quite strict on weight and anything over say 22 kilo, well you will get charged...........although it is not expensive, estimate about 60 baht per kilo.

Although Buriram is a tidy little airport, it is really in the middle of nowhere (Satuk), about 20 to 30 minutes drive to Buriram town itself. There is no taxi rank and no taxi's are usually there unless pre-booked. There is a phone on the wall in the arrival terminal to phone a taxi, but I have never seen anyone use it. What I am trying to say is you need to have someone arrange to pick you up.

Airline itself has always been efficient in flight and in the 3 years that I have been using it, only had one cancellation.

Hope this helps...................RayBan

Get a taxi to mo-chit and take a bus...they will get there in the same time it takes to check in and fly by plane.

HL :)

Normally that's what I'd do - however - I will be arriving in Thailand right before Songkran and catching a bus will be next to impossible with everybody heading back to the village for the festivities. I'd like to have a confirmed seat on something (airplane, bus, train, or even a taxi).

Great news that Nok Air is starting to fly that route - thanks!!

Just a thought for you....by the time you have paid out for all the airfares it must add up.....a taxi from Bangkok to Korat will cost 2500 baht so I expect another 500 baht to go to Buriram, and it will be a more comfortable ride for everybody door to door.

HL :)
