Hi Folks,

Voting will close on 8th October morning Thai Time if we have an outright winner. :D

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

P.S. I voted already but, not for myself as I always do :)

Hi 'The Vulcan',

Apart from taking super douper photo, do you also read folks minds :)

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

The jury is still out on this for me. I also like Hughden's Watch and certainly would have voted for it but feel that it's missing the Thai element.

Must admit that I thought 'broken' would have attracted more entries than it did.

I liked yours... but in the end voted for Monkfish's boat..

a difficult subject IMHO...

lets try and keep the themes Thai...

This would be much bigger if the competitions and voting could be "advertised" on the main page of Thai visa and/or in other sub forums.

After all, who doesn't carry around a digital camera nowadays in one for or another?

Hi 'filingaccount',

Agree with you in this respect :D

I did that with 'Thaivisa Songkran photo comp' which was very good.

As I have only me buttons as a Mod in this forum maybe a "Super Mod" Kan take over and/or help me out on this one :)

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

Photo was taken in Thailand BTW. Do you 'lordsux' have a Thai Clock :)

I was thinking of veto-ing this subject, but as I was going 'On The Road' for a few weeks I let is go.

Photography of sadness 'Broken' is not everybody's cup of tea is it 'lordsux' as it has been shown. :D

Next time if the topic is not about

but in the end voted for Monkfish's boat..

then I shall post a Thai theme topic as this will get more members posting their photos.

Up to you folks, tell me what you really want for your next Challenge, as this is getting me goat up :D

Yours truly,

Kan Win :D

I thought the theme was great!

so much broken stuff in Thailand but had no time to get out this month. :)

For me, Lordsux Ghetto kids wins clearly, its got a Journalistic style to it, the kids playing brings it into reality.

But can't say which is the best photo as it really is a matter of personal taste.

I thought the them was great too!

Themes such as "Broken" and "Water" encourage some creativity, look what Lordsux did with "Water" for example, really interesting photos.

Please spare us from "easy" topics like "Puppies" or "Temples"!

I voted for Monkfish because it seemed truest to the title and this forum - broken / Thailand. The watch was a nice picture, b&w always seems an 'easy' way to get more impact, but the photo could have been taken anywhere by somebody who has never heard of, never mind visited, Thailand.

My second choice would have been the telphone box 'in the jungle' for the same reasons as above.

Many nice pictures, though.

Thanks Kanwin for your efforts. :)

This comment pretty well sums up the total inertia of this "challenge"

The idea that it is the subject matter that is at fault and NOT a total lack of

imagination coupled with zero interest in the history and art of Photography

by many participants

This sub-forum is called " Photography & the Arts " not "Boring cliche ridden views of Thailand "

The blind leading the blind comes to mind.

You are right! whats going on?

I guess 3 people opted not to vote and just see the results. :)

well there are over 280 visits on this thread (I don't know if they are unique) so should not be only 3 people who opted not to vote, for me seems more like 3 votes are not assigned.

My guess is that 3 people visited the thread an opted not to vote.

As to 280 visits every time you open the thread it counts as 1 visit to, but you can't vote on every visit.

yes there is something wrong in the total votes count, now there are 26 votes and it counts 30
