We are a couple, not interested in the bars etc just mainly sight seeing and shopping and a bit of business and only need safe clean accommodation central to most things if possible and easy to arrange transport from or close to transport.

WWW.AGODA.COM for hotels prices and reviews etc.

Sukhumvit area is good for access to Skytrain and shopping places around the city as well as the sights.

Or Silom area for central business district and nearer to the Grand Palace and river.

I assume you're not coming by car so don't need parking?

Manhattan Hotel. Sukhumvit Soi 15. I always take my FAMILY there. Good rates, but book through agent eg. AsiaRooms Centrally situated. Near Skytrain, for Siam Squ. etc
