Thanyaburi Mac Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Got a friend coming in from the U.S. asking about availability of 20" folding bicycles. Tried a TV search for "folding" but got a kickback: Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Any info available on folding bikes here? Have seen the smaller sized ones at TESCO-LOTUS, looking for a 20 incher. Thanks. Mac
Richard-BKK Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Hi Mac, You can check at http://www.probike.co.th the Dahon MU P8 is a perfect little pedal machine, with only 11.5kg it is a light and easy "folding" bicycle, also if you are interested in bicycling you can also look now-and-then at Bike Thailand
nidge Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I've seen some for sale on the side of the road near Khlong 4 between future park and Thanyaburi, but I never paid attention to wheel size. Is there any particular reason he wants a foldable one? Full size ones are small enough to put in the back of a car once the wheels are off.
paulbrun Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 He maybe needs it to carry on a boat, which is what I need one for. Thanks for the link to Probike. I will follow up.
TheWalkingMan Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Good website. I remember when back in the early 70's one of the guys fitting shock absorbers on his bicycle in place of the usual forks. Maybe he was 14 or 15 years old. I wonder if he could have patented it back then. TheWalkingMan
mr_hippo Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 PK Bikes PK Bikes in Suan Siam sell YEAH - Japanese folders that use Dahon licenced technology - bit cheaper than Dahons
edwinchester Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Have a look in many of the second hand showrooms selling off 'Japanese' bikes. Some of them are very high quality and alot cheaper than new.
