As seen on the main page, a bike hike in visa fee's and minimum wages for foreigners living and working here. The visa fee's will be effective from August 26 and the new minimum wages must be upheld before July 1 next year. Since Thai Rak Thai (Thai Love Thai) government got the power two years ago they are slowly making it more and more difficult for foreigners to live here, they add new taxes, rules and requirement all the time--(c/p from another forum)

Believe TRT has a lost more on its plate than foreigners in any case.

Visa fees went from 500 to 2000, bank requirements from 200K to 400K for marriage visa, other stuff ... I think most regulars here know. Use search and you'll find.
