Osama's mother was a Palestinan lady. period! :D

I will stop trying to confuse you with facts. Your mind is obviously made up. :D

I would be hard pressed to figure what difference it makes in the topic of Afghanistan though.

Now if instead you wanted to talk about Bin Laden's family ties with the Saudi Royal Family....well that may be something :)

This is a good docu and around the 57 minute mark either Kohee or ChuckD seem to appear :)

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...0148&hl=nl# (The war on democracy John Pilger)

Here another short docu about the use of chemical weapons by a nation that accused another nation of having them.

Warning: this one is not for the weak stomach kind of people.

So we agree that Bin Laden has never been accused of involvement in the 9-11 attacks? There was a plan to go into Afghanistan long before 9-11 (The Delenda plan).

I don't think I have to tell anyone here that I don't believe in these conspiracy theories tossed around about 9/11. That said, I would like to know why the FBI wanted poster makes no mention of 9/11. Seems like a fair enough question.

Copy/paste the text you have a problem with. You are happy to throw out section numbers because no one will bother looking it up.

Look who is lazy. I never said I read it cover to cover as you claim to have....cough...BS...cough

Yet I have read the sections I mentioned. I also gave the reasons I disagree with them

Kor Tort like I said if you need an education your going about it all wrong.

Also like I said change the bait already your stale

Better yet find a new thread to troll

Uh-huh. You give generalizations, nothing more. You're afraid to actually read it and learn that you have been duped into thinking it is something horrible when it isn't. You might feel saddened like you were when as a small child you learned there was no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny.

You poor thing :D You really have no stance at all do you.

No problem....you know they have a food section here too?

btw...What do you mean there is no Santa or Easter Bunny? :)

You might feel saddened like you were when as a small child you learned there was no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny.

Oh, shit. Sorry, Harcourt. I didn't mean to let the cat out of the bag for you. I was just joking around with flying and forgot that you read this thread. :)

Again you can find information on the Delenda plan from various government memo's now unclassified. They are not theories.

Also attached to the original Clarke memo are two Clinton-era documents relating to al-Qaeda. The first, "Tab A December 2000 Paper: Strategy for Eliminating the Threat from the Jihadist Networks of al-Qida: Status and Prospects," was released to the National Security Archive along with the Clarke memo. "Tab B, September 1998 Paper: Pol-Mil Plan for al-Qida," also known as the Delenda Plan, was attached to the original memo, but was not released to the Archive and remains under request with the National Security Council

Here some article about the pipeline interest: http://www.globalpolicy.org/component/cont.../198/40162.html

(Article is copied from the Chicago Tribune).

Maybe you could call the FBI and find out yourself why he is not charged regarding that matter. My homecountry ministry of defense had to remove the same false message that BL is/was the reason to send troops to Afghanistan. Yes the people threatened to go to court over it so they changed it into a humanitarian mission as being the reason. :)

So pathetic. Amazingly pathetic. Are you proud of yourself with your silly replies? LOL.

When will you quit? I suspect even ChuckD who stands on the same side of the line as you may regret that his ally is such a dork....but of course I can't speak for him.

I can't imagine that he likes the fact that the one person on his side is such a poor presenter of his side of the arguments.

Your ripostes are those of a child. I have obviously touched a nerve with you for you to persist in these inane comments. I am glad of that. Amongst other things, I suspect that calling Dubbya an idiot hurt you as you obviously were one of the rednecks or ghetto rats that voted for the dork....twice!!!! LOL.

Go on, have the last word. Feel superior by it.

My silly replies? Have you seen your repetitive ones with all the ROTFLMAO smileys?

You know, if you would ever answer a question I might have more to say to you than call you names or tease you about Santa and strained carrots. Then we would have actual opinions to discuss. Wouldn't that be novel?

ANYWAY, I'm sure we're boring the other 4-5 people who read this thread as well as each other so I'm willing to call a truce with you. I'm willing to stop teasing you or calling you names based on anything you have posted to date. If sometime in the future you "inspire" me again, I'll do my best to hold back and keep to the facts of the thread.

Oh, hel_l. If I'm calling a truce with you I might as well extend the same courtesy to flying. He doesn't answer anything either and our banter is getting dull and stale.

Neither of you have to reply or agree to this. You can just wait and watch my behavior and decide on your own whether or not you want to join the "truce".

Guess what dork? You're on my ignored list, so anything you write, I can't read.

Have your last word. Go on...say more. Go on.

c'mon Harcourt! let's have some fun. besides... Koheesti and Chuck are doing their level best (whatever their level might be :D ) to educate us. and all free of charge. don't let us miss a good opportunity! :)

:)

Can we please continue with the F ganistaaan discussion?

So far we have BL not accused of the 9/11 attacks (or was it Sadaaaaam perhaps :D)

Plans for the building of pipelines were in the make long before 9/11.

Plans for going into F ganisthaaan were made long before 9/11.

The Taliban agreed bringing BL into a (third party) court when the US could provide evidence of his involvement but offer rejected by the US.

Troops could have killed BL several times but the order/approval was delayed or never given.

So now with the latest terrorist underwear bomber being trained in Yemen I guess that country could well be the next target?

note to myself: ask Chuck whether he believes in Santa!

Not directly he isn't. But al Qaeda IS accused of it (KSM being the mastermind) and Osama is/was the head of al Qaeda. I'm guessing any member of the organization is automatically on the wanted list.

Plans for the building of pipelines were in the make long before 9/11.

I would think oil companies have plans for a lot of places around the world if it would make getting oil to the sea cheaper.

Plans for going into F ganisthaaan were made long before 9/11.

They murdered the US Ambassador to Afghanistan in the late 80's. That's an act of war right there. :D But like oil companies, the military (not only the US's) has contingency plans for fighting just about anyone just so they don't need to start from scratch if an "opportunity" arises. :D

The Taliban agreed bringing BL into a (third party) court when the US could provide evidence of his involvement but offer rejected by the US.

What evidence? See above.

Troops could have killed BL several times but the order/approval was delayed or never given.

This was happening even back in the 1990's. It usually means they are consulting lawyers first. :D

So now with the latest terrorist underwear bomber being trained in Yemen I guess that country could well be the next target?

Wasn't there already a tomahawk strike there recently? The underwear bomber might have been in response to that?

I hate replying inside a post but there are so many bits to comment on.

Ok when I am back from dinner I will try and post some more info on what could give a bit more insight in the situation in Afganistan and how complex it is. plenty of strange stuff going on there that you will not hear on the six o clock news like the US now in talks with known terrorists getting them visa's. Really? Yeah really......

:)

"They murdered the US Ambassador to Afghanistan in the late 80's. That's an act of war right there."

keep up the good job bullsh*** :) no U.S. ambassador was ever murdered in Afghanistan. the Soviets left late 1989, the Taliban came into power 1996 and their top politicians were honoured guests in the White House a couple of years later. bin-Ladin "founded" al-Qaeda when in Sudan (1991) and moved to Afghanistan after the Taliban took over.

Sorry, I was off by about ten years - it was the late 70's. I guess you could call it an accidental death and not murder even though he was shot by either terrorists or Afghan security forces. Close enough in any case - he was shot dead.

from wiki:

"Adolph "Spike" Dubs (August 4, 1920 - February 14, 1979) was the United States Ambassador to Afghanistan from May 13, 1978 until his death in 1979. He was killed in an exchange of fire after a kidnapping attempt.

In 1978 Dubs was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan following a coup d'etat which put Soviet ally Nur Mohammad TarakiKabul Hotel (now called as President. On February 14, 1979, he was kidnapped by four armed Islamists posing as police who were demanding the release of two Islamic militant prisoners, and was held in Room 117 of the Kabul Serena Hotel). Afghan security forces and Russian advisers swarmed the hallway and surrounding rooftops, but negotiations stalled. Shortly after 12:30 p.m., an exchange of gunfire started between the terrorists and the Afghan security forces, and the ambassador was killed.[2] After this incident, the U.S. did not have an ambassador to Afghanistan until 2002, following the invasion of the year before, and the embassy was closed in 1989 as security in Kabul deteriorated.[3] His death is considered a "Significant Terrorist Incident" by the State Department.[4] At the time, however, the U.S. formally expressed its disapproval of the assault to Moscow"

US opens Yemen front:

"New York: The United States has begun covert operations against Al Qaida in Yemen, according to a report in the New York Times newspaper.

The Pentagon will spend more than Dh256m over the next one and a half years to try and combat the growing presence of the terrorist organisation.

According to the report, this money will be spent on sending in special forces teams to train the Yemeni security forces and a doubling of military aid to the country.

It also added that CIA agents who are specialists in counter-terrorism were first sent to Yemen a year ago."

The link is to the Gulf News - as in "Persian Gulf", not "Gulf of Mexico". :)

Gulfnews....hmmmmmm, could it be part of the (propaganda) department of the DOD (do a whois).

So Kohee or perhaps ChuckD (good name for a rap artist by the way :D ) if the US is formally in war with Iraq and Afghanistaaaan why are prisoners taken, not treated (legally) as prisoners of war?

You say that BL is ultimately responsible for 9/11 as he is/was the leader of the pact (Al Queada).

Then can it be said that Bush and Obama are also ultimately responsible for the (illegal) use of (chemical) weapons that killed many (innocent) civilians as shown in the YT link (The massacre of Fallujah)?

Or are the soldiers admitting deliberately killing civilians (under order) loonies?

:)

Already happened & is a probable cause of the bomber's attempt.

It was pretty funny though to watch head of homeland security...Janet Napolitano come out & say how the system worked???

Yeah if she meant the passengers did the job her group is paid billions to do.

Her group let a person on the no fly list on board no problem.

She did have to come back on TV the next day & reverse her position.

That aside Ron Paul talks about your bombing question a bit. Pretty funny how Ben Stein plays the anti-semite card. It is as RP said, Ben totally discredited himself at that point.

Also funny how the US can react to perceived attacks yet if someone else does.....well that is a horse of a different color isn't it?

That's exactly right Flying. The double standard. They fly an incursion over Yemen, and kill a bunch of people on the ground, and are outraged when David reacts to Goliath. When did the US declare war on Yemeni rebels?

They do the same when the fly into Pakistan. I daresay there are some people in Pakistan that untill their village was bombed by US drones, didn't give a hoot about international politics. But now, are enraged enough, understandably so, to join in with others that are fighting the US....then the US points to them and says they are terrosists that desertve to be obliterated.

The MO of the US is to incite innocent people, get their reaction, then use that reaction as an excuse to kill more innocents in their attmpts to kill the "terrorists" that they have just incited...ad infinitum.

Then idiots like Bush and his idiot plebians such as koheesti get all outraged at the good, benevolent, and innocent US being attacked. Whatsmore, the attacks upon the US or it's citizens are, relatively speaking, flea bites compared to the shock and awe the US inflicts. 9/11 was a flea bite relatively speaking, yet it has become a catchcry for the world, with the US rallying with that cry.

I daresay the entire list of terrosist actions against the US from 9/11 back thru USS Cole and further, all have a valid gripe instigating the action.

The undie-bomber is a very good example of how a US action results in a reaction. I suspect the undie-bomber is just the first and before long a few hundred or thousand US citizens will die, resulting in Yemen being occupied or blasted to kingdom come.

Yet it was the US that threw the first punch in Yemen.

Are you, too, in desperation, resorting to picking on words or spelling? Tut tut. The pocket protector guys are nerds or geeks, surely? .....before you cast the first stone, you should ensure your own use of words is faultless.

"Dork" may have a different meaning where I come from, although I suspect not...you have just got it wrong.

"Dork" is a much milder term of rebuke than was deserved. I may have to use "idiot" and "dork" on you ChuckD if you want to continue acting like one, which up until now you have not.

The flight from Amsterdam had more than just Americans on it. The guy who apparently "saved the day" is Dutch. You excuse the terrorist's actions on the flight based on an attack on al Qaeda in Yemen. That's up to you free speech being what it is. Not that they care, but the terrorists should keep in mind that while they might succeed once in killing 200-300 passengers (citizens of many countries) the result will be that they will suffer many times more losses as likely will the country they are operating from. They killed ~3000 on 9/11 and now they are over their heads in a world of shit.

Does anyone else ever get amused at watching someone futiley shouting down a phone line that has been hung up at the other end?

That is what I have always maintained. When I talk about things with folks I always suggest that what we see are reactions.

Most folks in the US have their nose to the grindstone much like you described folks in Pakistan. So what they see is an unprovoked attack. Then they too get outraged & believe the lies told to them as to why the govt needs to go bomb another country to hel_l.

These same countries that pose no real threat to the US as they cannot even reach the US. They have no navy, air force etc etc etc.

Yet folks who watch & read know there are many times reasons behind what has happened.

Sad to say most in the US have their nose either to the grindstone or the TV & assume their govt is always reacting or in their sick way doing pre-emptive deeds <sic>

Most do not know the history that the govt/CIA had with folks like Saddam or Bin Laden back when they were useful.

They also are constantly duped by catch phrases....Almost like subliminal messages.

If the govt wants to infringe on liberties they pass an act called the patriot act. <sic> Why? Because who would vote against that? You would be un patriotic right? Yet the patriot act is the single biggest move on our civil rights in history. Which is why so many civil liberty groups are always asking for certain section to be allowed to die when their time comes. Yet they are renewed

Sheeple are like that & believe what is offered on the surface.

The govt here likes to claim they are squelching terror or instilling Democracy in places that have asked for help. But I tend to see many dictatorships that would be helped a lot more yet they do not go there...Why? Because those places have nothing they want for themselves. No resources etc so they are not....helped/occupied.

The reason for being in Afghanistan is no different than the Russians back when & it will end the same way. But in the meantime it is as you say..unfair & just making more hatred towards the US

Take a good look at Iran because it will be added soon to the list along with Pakistan. Although with Iran they may have to be a little more discreet perhaps use their buddies to go in under some false flag pretense. Not unlike the WMD's of Iraq.

I like Ron Paul & he is one of the few who tell it like it is. Unfortunately he will probably never be president. As long as he continues to throw back the curtain. Folks like Ben Stein & the big bankers who are controlled by none decide that & what they seek is a ventriloquists dummy that they can use as a front.

Here is another read you may find interesting....
