After Non -immigrant Visa Expires

Recommended Posts

Hi again all ,

Having used up all my entries on a non-immigrant visa , after the12 - 15 months , how can I get another ? Will I be able to get one in Cambodia or Burma etc , or will this only be possible and easier in the UK or Australia for example ?

Nignoy should have a good answer for this one , after all , he s been there , done that ...........( along with everthing else ! ) :o I luv ya man ...

You won't be able to get one in Asia, your best bet is the Hon Consulate in Perth. At the consulate in Melbourne, you only ever get three entries. Normally I go to Dallas, which is an honoury consulate too and not too stringent also.

If you are really entitled to a Non Imm visa you should be able to extend it

by any of the following:

1. by showing your work permit and the details of you job,

2. by showing you marriage certificate and the means by which

you support your wife

3. you are over 50 and have a pension or other means, to support yourself.

4. you have invested 3m in Thailand

So even if I am a UK passport holder I can go to Perth ? I dont need to return to UK for new one ? And if I cant go to Perth or equivalent , can I go to Cambodia or Burma and get a tourist visa ?

Never really thought of going elsewhere. Just get my new Visa as part of annual holiday to UK. It's just so easy. Walk into Consulate,passport,2 photos, marriage cert,90pounds.5 minutes later walk out with Visa. No checks on Income, pension, etc.

Or you could get the extension of stay and don't bother going back, if you meet the finance requirements that is.

Ultimately they'll wake up that he is not extending to avoid meeting those financial obligations.

I am a UK passport holder, and have never been to the UK to get any of the visas in the last five years. So you shouldn't have a problem at least not at the consulates mentioned.
