anyone have any idea as to how easy/difficult it is to get multi entry tourist/non-imm visas from Hong Kong.

Just trying to weigh up my options.

Hongkong is as tough as nails Bob. If you are eligible and have all the appropriate documentation, Penang is a better option for a non-immigrant visa.

Anyone know about Manila for Thai visas?

A Brit posted on here that he was refused a Tourist Visa in Manila. Maybe there was a reason. See what other posters say about the Embassy.  There is a Thai Consulate in Cebu   and traditionally Consulates are not as tough as Embassies.

Sinbad; I went to vientaine and got my non O  upgrade from a tourist to retired O with no trouble and then to BKK after 3 months and got it going and have been there for the renewal twice,seems to be no problem.

Kev....why haven't you gone for a one year extension of your O visa?  That'd put an end to the renewals

Isn't that what he said he did?  Went to VTN and get class O visa on basis of retirement - after 3 months extended it in BKK and has been doing (there/BKK) yearly ever since.  

There can be non sinister reasons not to use yearly extensions for some - money can be tight - spouse might want to use if any in a local bank - may need a night away every few months.  But agree we should point out the extension as an option.
