Average Price Motorbike

Featured Replies

Say a young lady in Kampaeng Phet new to riding needs to buy a good quality little 2nd hand motorbike, what sort of price are we talking about. Also if just used around town can you give me a guess at annual running cost please? Thank you

Well, I would buy some Honda Wave but when you ask her, she will want an automatic scooter.

Prices for good ones start at 15,000 I would say.

running costs are low, a few hundred Baht a month

with daily commuting. Change the fluids on a new bike (brake fluid / oil / ...)

I would buy a common model, like Honda or Yamaha, not some exotic JRD or such!

Chris

splash out and buy her a new honda 125.......39 thousand baht :)

If my gf, no probs, but she is not, so it would be a no strings attached gift to someone who needs a bit of a helping hand in life. I know nothing about motorbikes, which may be one reason I am still alive at my age, so I am open any ideas :))

Something unfashionable like a Suzuki Crystal (2 stroke 110cc) can be had for between 10,000 to 5000 bht.

Honada Wave is more fasionable so expect to pay 12000 to 16000bht.

A two/three year old Air Blade will be about 30000bht
