Well, as the title suggests - I need somewhere nice to take a girl today, a girl who happens to be the first woman I have ever thought about in the long term... Somebody I'm very serious about indeed. She is not Thai but she is Asian and is an expat too.

I was thinking maybe Lumphini Park, but there's not much to do other than walk around it. Any other scenic places nearby that also has places to eat in walking distance?

Perhaps somewhere on a hotel roof? ...Banyan Tree is nice but better for evenings and it will not go into late evening due to work early the next day, but I still want it to be special.

Thanks,

SB

I created this post in the Bangkok forum, I don't know why it is in this one.

Could a moderator kindly move this to the Bangkok forum?

I know a good place to eat near Suan Lumpini.

It's a small restaurant called "Kai Tod Jae Kee"

Know among the people there as "ไก่ทอดเจ๊กีซอยโปโล"

It isn't an ideal place for romance, but they have really good food.

Try googling it or ask a Thai friend :)

OP you have posted your topic in Bangkok Forum and the topic was never moved to another form

Lumpini park sounds like a good idea. More to do than just walk around: Feed the fish, look at the huge lizards, paddle around in those watercycles and it's not as noisy and polluted as the rest of Bangkok.

Langsuan road, soi 5. Next to the Sawadee Inn hotel.

There's only 1 restaurant in this soi.

If it's not raining and the weather if fine, I suggest you to go there.

It's not pricey, it's clean, the restaurant is mainly based on the outside terrace which is very well maintained and gives a romantic feeling to be.

Try it out.
