15 slum houses destroyed in late night fire

A fire broke out at a slum in Bangkok Yai district late Tuesday night, destroying 15 houses.

The blaze began at midnight at the Lan Pho Community on Soi Issaraparb 27.

Some 30 fire engines took about an hour to control the blaze after it burnt down 15 old wooden houses.

A volunteer suffered a minor injury while fighting the blaze.
