Thailand Elite

Recommended Posts

Wow!  I don't know many people in the $100K and up (USD) range, and the ones I do, wouldn't be interested in the "Thailand Elite" club anyway. :o

Aside from the issues that we have already talked to death in previous threads regarding the future viability of the elite card program, I've always thought that targeting this high-end market was a non-starter. The real high rollers aren't all that interested in Thailand.

Always amazed that they...whoever they are want to know your earnings.....

In my area of the woods that comes under the heading of NOSEY Bstds and is confidential.

Ok if you are borrowing say $10m bucks from a bank to buy a 2 bed flat or something.....but a dodgy club card... :D:o

Too rich for my blood.

I am married and live on $10K a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Holly crap, lol do you get to drink at all on that?

I used to be in the us militairy living off of $10k/yr and that was tough, drank my self silly. Barely made my truck insurance payments.

That is what the goverment expects for a farang married to a Thai!

You retired guys get twice as much p.a. :o:D

I really like that they don't even bother to check and see if you've got the right to be in their special line at immigration. Anyone who wants can use it.

For as few elite cards as have actually been sold, one would think that the immigrations officials are on a first-name basis with the actual card holders. :o

How you do that?

I am not a member but sometimes arrive together with one.

You don't stand at the special line, but one rep. takes your p/ports, the officer counts how many pax and how many p/ports he gets, then wait in the lounge until they arrive with your luggage and your stamped p/ports.

Usually, I am travelling on my own, so how to use this line without being a member?

I've been called a "member" many times, do you think that will help? :o
